that lead up to Yom Kippur Jews are supposed to spend the eve of Yom Kippur, which began

at sundown last night, and the entire day today in prayer and meditation. So I'm, you know, violating that a little bit

right now by getting up early to get this podcast recorded. It's a time of atonement, not just with

God, but among friends and family. And tonight, prayers will close with the ritual blowing of the

shofar, the ram's horn, which is a tradition many people are familiar
