Hello and welcome to another episode of Deep State Radio. I am your host David Rothkoff and I am here in the third

sub-basement of the Ministry of Snark Studios of Deep State Radio where I am joined by Georgetown University's Rosa Brooks and the Plowshare funds Joe Ser and Sioni and

way far away on a little island floating off the coast of Europe is the number one fan of the

St. Louis Cardinals Corey Shaki. That is indeed me. I am a desperate Cardinals fan.

You know, when I was a boy, I think we may have discussed this once,

but I would go to the Mets games,

but my favorite team was the Cardinals.

And I vividly remember I remember well

sense and judgment from the very start David

Cori you're from California how are you a Cardinals fan anyway?

I am a Cardinals fan because I grew up an Oakland Ace fan and when I went

east to go to graduate school I could not bear to support any team in the American League East as an ace fan.

Washington didn't have a team of its own and I was a poor graduate student and I could actually get Cardinals games on the radio.
