And what constitutes a haunting in your book?

Oh, again, there's a wide spectrum of hauntings.

So it goes from the classic reoccurring ghost that appears in the same place,

doing the same thing, and doesn't seem to interact. There are more interactive ghosts that

appear, ghosts that appear to give messages and then it goes all the way to poltergeists that could be

cast as some sort of ghost case.

So they all tend to involve people who are now deceased, I would say.

There are visions of people who are still alive, but I generally class hauntings as visions of somebody that's now deceased.

Do you go to many haunted places?

I used to go to lots. I don't get to so many now. I'm sort of old and decrepit, so it's a bit

difficult.

I do still get to some haunted places.

In fact, I was at a haunted castle just a month or so ago,

where I'm hoping to do a bit more work with them

and I'm trying to get English Heritage to work with me

on a bit of a project to write
