Hey everyone, I'm Ashley Bannfield and this is Drop Dead serious. Okay, full disclosure. I've had a

couple drinks. It's my son's birthday and we went out for dinner and then I realized I have a big

podcast to do. So I am going to try not to screw up. But I did find out some really interesting stuff

today. Yes, I was working on my kid's birthday, which everybody should do. But I learned something

like that kind of threw me back on my heels a little bit in this investigation of Lynette Hooker,

who's missing in the Bahamas.

And so much has been riding on what's going on with the dinghy in the Bahamas?

The Royal Bahamian police kept the dingy, right?

The Americans have soulmate, the 46-foot sloop, thank God. And all the electronics and the delicious forensic shite that is

on board, Solmate. And the Coast Guard Investigative Service agents are processing that.

Little side note here, I have learned that it is done. The processing of soulmate, the forensic work,

all the stuff you saw us videotaping the agents walking on and off and carrying all these things

and putting in it evidence bags and crime scene tape going up around the boat. But it's done.

They reserve the right to return and do follow-ups, of course, as any crime scene, you know, that happens. But the

big, heavy lifting on board Soulmate is done. So that's interesting. So my assumption is that

they're going to bring it out of the water at some point. That's my guess. Because this is, this is evident.

This is a big effing chunk of evidence, the boat. And, you know, if you've ever owned a boat,

especially in salt water, it is a pain in the ass. There's so much work you got to do.

Salt is nasty. And so it requires work to keep a boat, you know, in good condition.

And so a wise decision would be haul that mother out of the ocean and get it up on dry dog.

So that's what I'm looking for.

I think that would be a wise thing to happen next because who knows long, you know, how long it's going to be.
