Joel Hawkins with us tonight. Hi Joel. Hi there. Hello everybody. I'm so glad you're

co-hosting with me tonight while Deb is away doing Halloween meetings once again. You and I had

planned on discussing something not so spooky when we will revisit that topic in November

you and I, which is about the the presence and present of pain. But we had several requests

from listeners for you and I to do something spooky in honor of Halloween coming up on Friday

and I think we have to fill those requests. What do you think Joel? I agree because it's

been a spooky week. I've had some hard time sleeping after doing some of the research for tonight.

So we are going to be discussing the real story behind some of the famous horror movies out there

like Behanting in Connecticut, the new Annabelle doll movie coming up, Behanting in Georgia and the

Conjuring. As you all know we always do a crystal of the week and tonight Joel and I were talking

and I thought we would just mention some good crystals for working with the paranormal and for

protecting yourself from the paranormal. I don't know if that's the best word to use from the

paranormal but when you're working in that realm. So the first one I want to mention is Amethyst.

It's just such an all-purpose hardworking stone. It connects to the crown chakra. It's an all-purpose

spiritual cleanser and opener. It really opens you up to appreciating and trusting your own spiritual

gifts and it does put up a beautiful, purple energy in your aura to protect you if you do go on

paranormal investigations. And I think I've mentioned this on the show but I first read about Amethyst

being used in this way in an article about Lord Byron. He just did in the paranormal and he always

recommended that you bring an Amethyst with you if you're going to go ghost hunting. Of course I don't

think he used that word and I don't really like that word hunting but anyway. So I looked

up to see if there's any truth to it and there really is. So there you have it Amethyst.
