Amid the growing uproar, Cleveland’s besieged mayor turned to his newly-appointed director of public safety: Eliot Ness. Now he would confront a case that would redefine his storied career. How did America's Ripper hide in plain sight? Daniel Stashower takes us into the crimes as only he can. Then later, we revisit the supernatural aspects of this story as covered in The Holzer Files: Season 2 Episode 1 The Phantom Hand where Dave Schrader, Cindy Kaza and Shane Pittman revisited the sites of some of these murders in the hope of putting restless souls to peace.
