The only thing I could think Denson wanted me to do was distract Tanner so he could get the drop on him.

But as I tried destroying the egg for a good ten minutes, Denson did nothing but lie there.

Granted, Tanner didn't move from his spot, and he never pointed the flamethrower anywhere but at Denson. So after trying

everything I could think of to destroy the egg, smashing it, throwing it,

jumping on it, hitting it with rocks, trying to cut it open with sharp stones and

sticks, I was winded and resigned to the fact that I had to make the first move. If I

attacked Tanner, maybe Denson would join in,
