Well, as many of you know, on our last two episodes of reviewing the news, Cody and I have

been talking about Lincoln Knowles, a young climber and free soloist and content maker

who has been making waves in the climbing world, but Cody and I have also been really

interested in Lincoln's approach for what it means well beyond

the climbing world. So if you want to kind of do this chronologically, I'm going to lay this out

for you and we'll include links to all of these things in the show notes of this episode.

But here's kind of how this went down. On our August edition of reviewing the news, Cody and I first

talk about Lincoln and why we think what he's up to is so interesting. Then on Lincoln's own

YouTube channel, he responds to our takes, and I thought the whole thing was great. It's funny,

and I think quite fair.

So then on our last edition of reviewing the news, this September edition,

Cody and I talk a little bit about Lincoln's reaction video, and I then reached out

to Lincoln to invite him to come on to our Blister podcast and talk with Cody and me about

his background and what he's currently up to in Yosemite right now, and to get his thoughts

on some of these bigger and broader topics

of the media landscape today and what it all means for professional athletes and

aspiring professional athletes and the outdoor industry in general.
