In the spring of 2018 comedian Hassan Minhage became a dad.

It's been, uh, it's been the most beautiful and horrific thing that's ever happened to me in my life

Being real like it's it's a doozy. It is a doozy.

When his daughter was born Hasan was working as a correspondent for the Daily Show.

He'd recently won a Peabody Award for his stand-up special Homecoming King, and he was in the

thick of developing his weekly political TV show for Netflix called Patriot Act.

Hassan's wife, Bina, a PhD in Public Health, also has a demanding career, so it's felt like a lot to

manage all at once.

That's been the biggest sort of like push and pull of it.

We got to divide and conquer.

All right, like you sleep this time, I'll pick up this, all right, swap it out, I'll sleep, now you cover this time I'll pick up this all right swap it out I'll sleep now you cover this just like the

strategizing yeah the logistics just logistics yeah and I've never been really great at them.

And so I've just had to level up, you know?
