I come to you today inspired my friends because I know that the Let It Be Easy book,

which, look, came out in 2021, is still a book club selection. And I heard from this group that

they're loving the book, which always brings any author joy truly. And I know that a particular

chapter has been standing out. And I've heard your reactions to this chapter over the last few years and I wanted to read it

to you today on the podcast. If you have the book, let it be easy. The physical copy, it's on page 44.

And it's called Drifting Off Your Life's Course Happens Slowly. Okay, I'm going to read this. If you like it, I definitely recommend

getting the book. Let it be easy if you haven't already got it. If you like this podcast, you'll love it,

and maybe you'll even get it for a friend who would like more ease in their lives.

Okay, my friends, here goes. I'm not a strong swimmer. He likes to joke that our five-pound Yorkshire terrier,

Coco, is a stronger swimmer than me. So when I get into the water at the beach, I like having a few

people around me, and at least a couple further out than me too. So if there's a shark, it'll get

them first. I'm so mean. But one time when Heath and I went to the beach, it was so

hot I jumped straight in while he decided to sunbathe for a bit first. The water was welcoming

and warm when I floated around for a bit, thanking God for such a wonderful morning. Can I just

say that's like my favorite thing to do? Then I got to some daydreaming,

the usual tapping out that occurs when you're blissed out and relaxed. I lost track of time,

but when some seaweed grazed my elbow, I stood up, surprised. The people who had been chatting

around me before were now far away. I looked at the shore and

saw I had drifted in front of a totally different set of umbrellas. Isn't that a scary feeling,

my friends? This may be panic. I have no phone. These umbrellas all look the same, but different

somehow. Where is my husband left or right?
