it wasn't necessarily a rambling reinvention of the economic facts of what he'd like to be

saying about the country right now. The problem for Donald Trump is that the economy is not

performing as well,

and he's sort of saying to the American people,

when you think the cost of living is too high, you're wrong.

We're doing just fine.
