Thank you. Foundation, this is Heritage Explains. Let's imagine a scenario.

You're sitting in your car, let's say a common car, not a BMW or a range rover,

maybe something like a Volkswagen jet up. And let's say you've just

attended a public event at the Heritage Foundation. You're driving away and you suddenly decide

that it's a beautiful day. And what better way to spend the afternoon than strolling around the

D.C. Zoo? You pull your car over on a nondescript street in northeast DC. You pull out your phone

to check directions and you're just about to set off again when all of a sudden your car door

flies open. Someone's hands are around your neck. Something sharp is pressed into your side

and someone is shouting in your ear. Before you know it, you're face first on the sidewalk.

You roll over just in time to see somebody driving away in your car. If that isn't bad enough,

remember, your phone got run over by the departing car, your company laptop is in the trunk,

and your wallet is in the cup order. This isn't even the worst scenario.

Imagine that your two-year-old kid is in a car seat in the back.
