Summary

John and Shane are asked a host of questions surrounding recent BreakPoint commentaries.

To start off, John fields a question asking if the church completely missed the lessons we should've learned from 9/11. Additionally, another listener asks if the shift in worldview attention from Islam after 9/11 to critical theory today is one that is honest or if we're missing something in culture.

Later in the show a listener asks for definition on where the American idea of inalienable rights is housed, especially as the church finds itself with less of a voice in society.

0:42.2

or at least the historical commemoration of the month,

0:44.4

and that is the 20th anniversary of September 11th.

0:48.7

We've got two questions that sort of have to do with that and the ongoing significance.

And we answer these, of course,

in light of a breakpoint this week's special edition that we aired and posted up on the podcast.

And that was actually kind of a collection of Chuck Colson's commentaries in the immediate aftermath

of 9-11. He had a lot of interesting insights

1:12.0

and just profound observations

1:15.2

that I think were deeply relevant to the church

1:19.0

and our society at that time,

1:21.1

but have continued relevance on an ongoing basis.

1:24.1

And one of the questions is actually about that.

So I'll open it up with what this
