between B-war, F-4, and D-war to people who otherwise do not care about advanced baseball

metrics?

The difference is all about the inputs.

The framework is largely the same,

which is to convert each element of a player's production

into runs and then turn the runs into wins and there's lots of little

differences in that but it's all attempting to do the same thing using

identical framework. Okay this time in English I only half joking, but to the average baseball fan that walked into a ballpark,

it's something that you obviously cannot see with your eyes, but it matters for what reason to a big league squad.

Well, it matters because this is how teams are built,

and this is how front offices evaluate players.

Now, they don't use the versions of war

that we have at Sandgraps and baseball reference. They might look at them, but they all have

enormous research staffs that will take their own inputs and figure out how to turn it into war.

But it's all about determining how many wins

a player is worth and how the various aspects of his game

will project going forward.

That's really the bottom line because in baseball wins or money.
