I'm John McWhorter, and it's the beginning of the school year, and I happen to be teaching my history of English class, which has me in a kind of old Englishy mood, and then some other things have me thinking about languages and complicatedness and whether some languages

are more complicated than others. And so I thought I'd fuse those two things for this episode
