That's the language of the Bible to refer to people

who don't know anything about God.

They've never opened the word of God. They've never felt the presence of God. They've never prayed to God. They've never praised God. They are completely godless. No understanding of the things of God whatsoever.

When these people grow up to raise children, they raise children who know nothing of God.

Next thing you know, you've got generations that are godless and ungodly.

They have no awareness of the presence of God.

They have no understanding of the voice of the Lord.

They have no belief in the judgment of God.

They don't know where they come from. They don't know where they come from,

they don't know why they're here,
