Welcome back, everybody, to the Football Guys Daily Update. You give us 10 minutes. We'll give you

0:04.5

everything you need to know to make you the most informed fantasy football player in your league.

0:08.7

I'm Mike Dempsey alone with Football Guys own Bob Harris. Bob, let's talk about the Denver

0:12.9

Broncos backfield where the team is said to be weighing options with J.K. Dobbins. He has some

0:19.0

kind of a foot injury, whether or not to place him on injured reserve is being discussed. Obviously, it doesn't sound like he's going to play in the short term. R.J. Harvey would get a bump. Are there other Denver running backs that we should be rostering right now? I don't know. Harvey's going to be the clear starter. Tyler Bade will be like the third down back, but will he be trustworthy in that role? Harvey's averaged almost three targets a game as is, so it's possibly comes more of an

0:42.7

every downback. And checking in with local observers, the consensus kind of suggests a 2040

0:47.9

snap share for Biday. So the Broncos are the nice best rushing attack in the NFL. Harvey's in line for

0:53.7

60% plus of that workload. You know, he's a high end running back too low end one. But they would be a flex and probably a what the heck flex. And less or until he shows some of the touchdown upside Harvey had in that role. And Jaliel McLaughlin, I'm, you know, I just, I don't know what to make of the guy. Maybe he plays a little more role. Maybe he's like a handcuff worthy. But until somebody else gets hurt, I don't think I'm digging that deep. All right. Let's move on to Jacksonville, where they got the news that Travis Hunter underwent season ending knee surgery yesterday. It turned out to be an LCL repair, no other damage reported to his knee. So he's out for the rest of the year. Now, assuming Brian Thomas Jr. is back maybe as soon as this week and healthy. BTJ, Jacoby Myers, Parker, Washington. You can throw Diami Brown in there if you want to. How do you rank them for the rest of the season? Well, first I checked with Dave Kluge's week 11 rest of the season rankings that are available at football guys.com right now. He has Brian Thomas Jr. at wide receiver 28, Parker Washington at wide receiver 48, Jacoby Myers at wide receiver 49. I think that might be the right range for Myers. And it probably is for Thomas. His thing stand now, but I'm a little higher on Washington.

2:01.2

I don't know that Thomas is a limiting factor even when he returns. Washington has developed some chemistry with Trevor Lawrence, and he's seen targets here. It's a 21, 27, 29 percent over the last three games. Two of those were with Thomas. So I think he might be under, I think Dave might be underestimating or I might be overestimating, but I feel like Parker is a guy that might be more of a, of a wide receiver three-year flex-level play. I will say as a guy who covers the Jaguars, if someone is willing to give you Parker Washington plus for Brian Thomas, snap it up. That would be my opinion on that. All right, Moving on to Thursday night football, Jets and the Patriots,

2:35.7

no practice for Garrett Wilson. That's all we know because Aaron Glenn, oh, Mr. Secret is mad that a

2:41.7

reporter in Rich Semeni is trying to do his job. You don't have to tell us everything for it to be

2:47.8

gospel, Aaron, but he will not discuss injuries. I mean,

2:54.9

a little, he's getting a little full of himself after a couple of sloppy wins, I think.

2:58.7

And also a little thin skin for working in the New York market. You might want to get used to this whole media situation there. Seriously, you played there. Top it up. Let's go.

3:03.7

All right. So Wilson's out. Or we know that. For the Patriots, full practice for Tray and Henderson yesterday, limited for Romandre Stevenson. Bob. What do you expect a backfield split to look like when everyone is healthy following Henderson's big game this week?

3:18.5

So we talked about this on our serious XM show with Football Guy Meng Sung Monday night. Among you, the same words that I've been thinking about this situation since you're not putting that Henderson genie back in the bottle. Sigmund Blum and I talked about this on the couch yesterday as well. We both feel the same. It's going to be a split, but there's got to be a, there's going to be a shift, right? Kluge's rest of season rankings have Henderson at running back 22. Stevenson at running back 32. That feels about right to me until we kind of get it dialed in a little more. It's just hard to imagine. And Henderson doing little things like looking back at Mike Brayble to make sure it's okay to score. I mean, you know, kind of a smart play in the moment. I mean, you know, that coaching staff is a big part of this.

3:57.8

I think he'll be fine. Yeah, it was an incredibly smart play. Right. Not only do it, but to find the guy on the sideline, whoever it was that was signaling him to get the acknowledgement. Okay, I'm going to and still not have anybody catch him while that was going on. By the way, limited practice for Kishhan Booty. Bob, we get the official injury report later today for Thursday night football, but what are your expectations on Booty's availability? At least one local observer, Conor Ryan at Boston.com, who missed Sunday's win overcampo with the hamstring injury, could be given more time to rest and recuperate, especially given that Drake made the Patriots, we're still able to generate explosive plays down the field. And one of them was rookie Kyle Williams, who looked fantastic on a 72-yard touchdown. His only catch of the day, but the speed is real. Yeah, no doubt about that. All right, let's get to San Francisco. Brock Purdy is seeing more work at practice this

4:48.7

week. So we'll see if he is able to go as the starter. Brandon Iyuk will not have his 21 day

4:54.1

practice window open this week. But the Niners are hopeful that Ricky Pearson will practice today,

4:59.9

Bob. Let's say he does. And maybe he's questionable, but he gets the start. Would you trust him in your lineup in his first game back? I'll be looking for other options. I mean, I realize we can sometimes miss out on big games this way, but I don't know that statistically that's true or not. It just feels like, you know, when you miss out on those games, it feels like it's every game um i think it's probably wiser to take a

5:21.7

wait and see approach might depend a little bit if it's brock purdy at quarterback maybe i'd be more

5:26.6

interested but also you know juan jennings has been coming on a little bit and kind of establish
