0:12.0	You know what people don't realize is that every thought if I lift my arm my whole body is different
0:18.9	different in tiny ways that we haven't been able to measure, but it's all connected, which in some sense

0:30.1	And the first study we did was a study where we took old men to a retreat that we had retrofitted to 20 years earlier.

0:40.0	So they were going to live for a week as if they were their younger selves.
0:43.6	And they were in their late 70s, 80s?

0:48.3	Now remember that was quite a while ago.
0:50.3	You know, that was when seven day was the in the new 90, uh huh, or even a hundred or whatever.

1:00.5	They're in walkers, they're in can, they, they're immobile, they're very slow.
1:03.7	Well, actually, you know that when I was interviewing people to do the study, so their adult
1:09.5	daughter would typically want to bring them to the lab and I see them tottering down the
1:14.8	hall and at one time I said to myself why am I doing this I don't know if they're
1:19.3	going to live through the day no less be able to live for the week.
1:23.6	I took on something that only the younger of me would have considered taking on.
1:29.0	I was in charge of their entire lives, these seven men, old men, every aspect of their lives for a week.
1:36.5	You looked at them and didn't matter what number you attach to them.
1:40.4	They were old.
