Hey, brother!

With the Harry Potter reboot just around the corner, it's impossible to ignore the potential

long-term implications for the series.

I know a common sentiment about rehashing the massive saga can lead to the question of,

did we really need to do it again?

And in a world of reboots and live-action remakes that can feel like cash grabs,

I can see how this question is like top of mind for some folks.

However, there could be an overlooked boon to revisiting the original series, and it lies at the key weakness of the Harry Potter films.

Continuity.

What?

The new saga may not be something that everyone was chomping at the bit for, although

hardcore book enthusiasts would certainly never turn down an even more true-to-form representation

of our beloved series.

I mean, so many of us were like, you expect me to enjoy Goblet of Fire without Ludo Bagman?

No thank you.

No thank you.

I have more work to do so.

I don't even if you continue. But it's possible that what we're seeing is a line drawn in the sand,

a line that says this is what the wizarding world will look like for the foreseeable future.

And that blueprint, style guide, and foundation could be the jumping off point for the offshoots that we the community would absolutely love to see.

A Founder series, Tom Riddle's initial rise to power, maybe a not-so-cursed version of the Wizarding Future, or possibly the requests I personally see most often the Marauders.
