Guys, over the past few weeks, HBO has been slowly dripping out more and more casting announcements

for the new Harry Potter show coming out next year, and it has been so exciting and interesting

to see who's going to be who.

Who are you?

And as you can imagine, being one of like the largest Harry Potter channels out there,

we have been inundated with requests to give our own reactions to these announcements.

And since yesterday they dropped an additional nine new characters, now I think is a good time to weigh in.

But before we dive into our reactions, I do just want to take a moment to like maybe like set the tone because however you might feel about this reboot whether you're excited or skeptical or somewhere in between

We are choosing to come to this project with open hearts and a spirit of support like these actors especially the kids are stepping into some of the most

iconic roles in all of pop culture history.

And that's just no small task.

And for many of them, this series is going to define their career for years, maybe decades to come.

So let's just all remember the actors didn't make the decision about the reboot or to do it or whether it was a good idea or anything like that.

They're just showing up to do the work and to bring the magic to life for a whole new generation

and they deserve our encouragement, not our cynicism.

So we are here to celebrate their talent, cheer them on, and maybe, just maybe fall in love with Hogwarts all over again.

So bearing that in mind, let's dive on it.

Okay, so right out of the gate, let's just hit the big one because it is hands down the casting that has made the biggest waves,

and that is Papa S.C.E.E.D. as Severus Snape.

This is a really bold choice, and yeah, it's gotten a lot of pushback online, mostly because Papa is black and Snape has up to this point always been portrayed as white.
