As somebody who's been inside of the Harry Potter community for quite a long time at this point. I have to say it's

still not entirely clear whether or not James Potter is somebody who's

supposed to be remembered fondly or not. On the one hand every adult that we

meet swears up and down that he was just a phenomenally great person.

He was the life of the party, highly talented, super noble, like an almost infallible father

Like sure everyone says he was an excellent person.

But then when we actually go back in time through

Snape's memory, he definitely comes across as like an arrogant bully who's

bullying Snape for seemingly no reason. What's he done to you?
