And today we're talking about the most notorious trans man in turn of the century Seattle, Harry Allen.

This episode will contain discussions of periotypical transphobia as well as police harassment throughout,

but I will note that it does not involve police brutality or any of the violence in the part of the police.

We'll also be discussing suicide, incidents of violence, including family violence, a stabbing,

and brave mentions of animal abuse, sex work and sex trafficking, and alcoholism in

Indigenous communities.

So just to clarify who Harry Allen is at the start of this, because it's one of the more

obscure people that we're going to do.

Harry Allen is just like some trans guy who lived in the early 20th century, Pacific Northwest,

in the United States.

And the reason why we know who he is is because a bunch

of newspapers wrote a series of sensationalistic articles about him over like 20 years.
