So this little giveaway program that Rodney has dreamed up in and Lena claims to be leading what exactly are the details on there

Well details it's a I think a plan that you're going to find and a lot of left-leaning

counties throughout the country it's called uplift and the basics are it's a plan to give approximately 1900 families

five hundred dollars a month for eighteen months they call this a a guaranteed income program that they say will just make all the difference

in the world and change everything.

The cost of doing that just for 1900 families is $20 million. Now they say, well, that's ARPA money. It's not like it's real money. It's ARPA money so the county can

pretty well have a lot of flexibility. But that's 20 million dollars that you can

invest on the jail by the way that we're out of compliance on. That's $20 million that you could go into

an underserved neighborhood and change it for the next 50 years you could. But they're choosing to go to a lottery system to select 1,900 folks

out of 10 selected zip codes.

Now the not surprising thing is no one, there's not a single zip code that's in precinct 3,

that would be my precinct and so they're defining

poverty is only existing in those 10 zip codes well I will promise you we have

poverty and precinct three
