And the the Oh, Lesser events had occurred, some skirmishes and several burnings.

Smaller castles had fallen and though some major locations like Duskendale were among those,

and at least two of Heron's sons. Nothing historical had occurred just yet, though it was clearly building towards that.

Today we reached the first major battle of the conquest, the first time a dragon was truly unleashed upon Westeros that we know of

and even if there were others it would have been eons prior. In many ways it was less of a battle and more of an opportunity when opportunity for

Aagon to set an example one so powerful that others would not dare to test him in

that sense much was riding on this, because if done right, other kings

might see the wisdom in bending the knee, rather than fighting it out. Though he was more than

willing to bring blood and fire to the battlefield,

Aagon preferred willing surrender. He saw them as his future subjects after all, so why kill them? They're going to be his future

soldiers and tax providers and all that.

And there's no need to so bad blood towards him and his family amongst those he had conquered. So the smoother the process the better. So if it went wrong, if it was done incorrectly, well there's a lot more work that could be created a lot more.

or however many kingdoms there were.

It was gonna be seven pretty pretty soon by his count. But there's

exceptions to what I described in terms of how to do a conquest properly.

Sometimes you do have to sow some bad blood.

Of course you're overthrowing people and killing people.

You can't avoid that entirely.

So, and if you do have to make someone angry, you still have to be
