So I want to be direct with you.

I want to tell you like it is.

As God begins to use you more effectively, there will be difficult times ahead.

Now, I'm by no means saying that you're going to be a victim or that it's a life of misery.

But let's be honest that when God starts to use your life, there are challenges that come.

And so I want to give you the truth so that when

these difficult circumstances arise, you can navigate them knowing that these are typical of those

who are used as vessels for God's glory. Now, I'm not just talking about people who are in pulpit ministry

or who are pastors or teachers and so forth.

I'm talking about every believer who wants their life to be used for God's glory,

who wants their life to be used for the expansion of His kingdom.

You will face difficult times.

And so I'm sharing with you three difficult lessons that you'll learn as God

begins to use your life more effectively, as you begin to surrender more for that use. I want you to

keep in mind that you are laying down your life. You're saying, Lord, whatever you want to do with my

life, it's yours. In fact, we gave our lives to him. And so there will be trials. There will be difficult times.

But he is the strength that you need. His grace is sufficient. His presence will bring to you the

ability to endure, to persist, even in trying times. So let's take a look at lesson number one here.
