0:00.0 | There's a lot of expectations on this football team. |
0:08.0 | They're dangerous. |
0:12.0 | Watch out. |
0:15.0 | To achieve the results you want, it doesn't happen on game day to happen today with every breath you take. |
0:31.0 | This guy is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. |
0:45.0 | Hello and welcome to the second season of the Hard Knocks podcast. I am Dan Hanses. |
0:51.0 | We're running it back. I'm so excited for you specifically because I get to watch you kind of live and die by this Hard Knock season with the Jets and that's a whole different layer. |
1:21.0 | This is a whole new thing for me. I can't wait. Yeah, I couldn't be more excited. I've always loved this show. |
1:28.0 | And when the rumors are percolating out there about it, the Jets being involved with this season, especially after the arrival of Aaron Rogers, it seemed too good to be true. |
1:38.0 | And now here we are. This is our episode previewing the five run episode of Hard Knocks starting on Tuesday, August 8th, focusing on the Jets for the second time in the program's history. |
1:51.0 | Obviously, a legitimate buzz and anticipation around this season in New York, both because of the memories of how fun the Rex Ryan season was back in 2010. |
2:02.0 | But more so because of Rogers, obviously, and how he's kind of taking this team and transformed it from this downtrodden squad, which by the way, owns the longest postseason drought in North American professional sports entering this season. |
2:19.0 | Into as Hard Knocks producers are selling it this season in the trailer that you heard at the top of the show, the most compelling team in football. |
2:29.0 | And I have to say, County, this is all a little bit overwhelming for me. |
2:36.0 | But it's not wrong, right? They might not be the Super Bowl favorite. |
2:41.0 | But pound for pound, just like storylines, juice, there's nobody like the Jets right now, which is just considering what the last decade or so has been like, it's pretty crazy out how quickly change happens in the NFL. |
2:55.0 | This sets up so perfectly. First of all, they could not buy publicity like this for the show that they've received over the last week with all week and a half, I guess now with all of the Sean Payton and |
3:08.0 | they could get fired like that is just such I it's like catnip right now for me and as a Jets fan, I can't even imagine because with the Eagles, when they started to get good, the year that they won the Super Bowl. |
3:22.0 | That's when I started kind of like feeling like everyone started talking about the Eagles more nationally, there was buzz that it was right that they were getting it, they should have been getting all that buzz. |
3:34.0 | So I feel like the Jets right now, it's all anyone wants to talk about and rightfully so because of everything that's happened, like method man was at training camp the other day when I was hosting ITC and I was in Pittsburgh, and all I want to do was be with the Jets and method man. |
3:59.0 | The concert I went to was red in that. Yes, in Philadelphia, I was so star struck and I think these were senior was star struck to talking to him at Jets, like it's just, it's real, it's going to be such a good season for it to be in New York for it to be around this team that has been, as you said, so downtrodden for so many years. |
4:19.0 | I have the quarterback Aaron Rogers there who love him or hate him, he's going to make people talk and I've also done like a total 180 on him just from one sound bite, so I can't wait to see how I feel from the beginning of this series until the end. |
