Are you happy with what the Giants did?

Again, I only paid attention until Malachi Fields got drafted. Wahua, even though he's in Notre Dame. He's a Virginia guy who transferred to Notre Dame. He's been four years at Virginia. He's a Virginia dude. I'm shy. And then he spent a graduate year at Notre Dame, and he obviously became one of the best highball pass catchers, just reliable, big wide receivers

in football last year, a John Hallball guy, as it was described, and then I stopped paying

attention.

But those first four picks I liked.

Yeah, well, what I like about it without knowing about the players is it feels like they have potentially filled holes. Yes. They needed a corner. They get Colton Hood out of Tennessee. Right. They needed another wide receiver because I know there's many giant fans who don't want to sit there relying on bringing O'Dell Beckham Jr. back and they go get Malachi fields. They improve their offensive line with what they did in the first round. So it-

Francis and Maui Noah. It feels like the Giants have at least given themselves a chance at

improving their roster. But I'll tell you the other thing that made me feel good about the Giants.

And I apologize because sometimes it comes across like I like the Giants more than you guys.

But really what it comes down to is I had been bereft of competent

coaching. And so when I hear competency, it jumps out at me. I want to play you a clip of John Harbaugh.

And John said a lot over the last few days, but there was one thing I was very curious to see how he

handled. And that was the Malik neighbor situation. As we talked about on Friday, you may have heard it, we played neighbors as clips from when he was on live during the draft. And he was disagreeing with some of the decisions the Giants made, whether it's wanting Jeremiah love, whether it's not understanding Arvel Reese on this theme, whether it's being upset Caleb Downs isn't a giant. Like, he offered many, many things that he did not like. And we talked about it here. Some giant fans were upset about it. Some were like, ah, he's just giving his opinion. So I was curious to hear how John Harbaugh would answer the question. Now, he gave about a two and a half minute answer, so I had to do some editing, so it's not the entire thing. But I want to play for you the part that got me saying, this son of a bitch knows how to answer anything. This guy is... It's part of the job of being a head coach or manager in New York. I agree. You have to know how to answer. And guess what? You know who's had the same job John Harbaugh's

had? Who? Pat Schumer. Yeah. Adam Gase. Yeah. More on him later. There's a lot of incompetency

that's had this same job. So here's John Harbaugh breaking down his opinion on Malik neighbors

being sort of critical specifically about the Arvel Reese pick. As long as a person really cares, a player or coach or anybody, and you really want what's best for everybody, you're coming from a good, he's got a good heart and a good place. You know, say what you think. You know, put it out there. We talk all the time about confronting everything it has to do with our football. And so Malik wants to know how we're going to use our first round pick. I want to show him. I want to explain it to him. The fact that he says it publicly, who cares? This Joe Biden knows how to coach football. I got to tell you, he knows how to talk football. He knows how to make it all about football because whoever asked them that question. Oh, it was Pat Leonard. Ask him that question,

which trying to put him in a gotcha moment.
