We begin with a developing story out of New York where the giants are closing in on a deal with John Harbaugh to be their next head coach. Adam Schaefter with us all show Long. Adam, where do things stand with Harbaugh and the Giants?

Laura, this deal is going to get done and John Harbaugh is going to be the next head coach of the New York Giants following in the footsteps of men like Bill Parcells, Dan Reeves, Tom Coughlin, with the Giants hoping for similar results.

And from the moment that the Baltimore Ravens fired John Harbaugh nine days ago, the New York Giants were on the prowl. They went after him as much and as

aggressively as any team in the league, pulling out all the stops. On Sunday, one of the Giants

owners, the younger brother of John Mara, Chris Mara, spent the day with John Harbaugh at his home

in the Maryland area. The calls never stopped coming.

The pitches never stopped coming. They went after John Harbaugh as hard as they could

recognizing him as the type of coach that they felt could turn around their team. And somehow,

they arranged for him to visit their facility on Wednesday before he went to any other facility.

In fact, the Giants were pushing for that visit to happen last Saturday.

But John had other business that he had to take care of, had to delay it, and the soonest the Giants could get him in the building was yesterday.

And that visit resulted in essentially a verbal agreement between the two sides that he would halt all conversations,

not speak to the Tennessee Titans, nor the Atlanta Falcons, nor any other team interested in his services,

and wind up becoming the next head coach of the New York Giants. And the Giants haven't
