I don't know what it is. But feeling part of a group experience makes me uncomfortable.

So, New Year's Eve parties. I just see a desperation in people's eyes in New Year's Eve parties.

I think that most people are living lives of quiet desperation as Henry David Thoreau put it back in the 1840s.

New Year's is actually a very painful experience for most people.

Because if you're living a life that's inauthentic, the last thing you want to do is reflect upon it.
