My name is Jamie Ivy and I am your host.

In each week I invite a girlfriend to join me on the show and we chat about the big things

in life, the little things in life and everything in between.

Today's show is a little different than a normal show.

With Mother's Day coming I wanted to do a show honoring moms but not just the typical

mom that we see in greeting cards and on commercials.

When thinking through all the different kinds of moms out there I came up with no less

than 20 different types of moms that I wanted to chat with.

Single moms, divorced and remarried moms, step moms, moms through adoption, foster moms,

first moms.

Literally the list went on and on and on and finally Knox, who's the mastermind behind

making this show sound so good, firmly told me to pick for and go with it.

So I did.

I picked four moms to talk to today about what motherhood is like for them.

We talk about the challenges that they incur, the misconceptions that they're trying to dissolve,

what's different about this part of mothering than they imagine, plus much more.
