Hey friends and welcome to a brand new year happy 2021. I hope in all honesty that as you look forward to this next year that yes, you look back at 2020 and you see hardships 100% all of us do, but I really hope that you also look back and see some blessings that you had in your life.

Even if it was the worst year of your entire life, I pray that you're able to find at least one goodness from God in your life.

And today we look forward, we look forward to a brand new year and I seriously 100% pray many many many blessings on your family.

I pray that you say healthy, I pray that you say close to your loved ones and man, just let 2021 be a great year.

I'm super excited about everything we have going on this year actually. In fact, if you're a part of our newsletter list, which you should be because we always let our lives be.

My friend Emmanuel Acho is on the show today and I've known about a manual for a lot of years. He played football University of Texas and I live here in Austin, Texas.

And I'm a long-worn fam. So I knew who Emmanuel was. He went to my church the Austin Stone when he lived here in Austin and our paths cross the summer when he invited our family to be a part of his YouTube series called Uncomfortable Conversations with the Black Man.

Which that series now turned into a New York Times best selling book, which I've read it and highly recommend. We sat down and shouted about that journey that he's been on.

What life looks like for him now that he is 100% catapulted into the spotlight in 2020 and how he's handling that. How his soul is handling that.

At the end he gives us some I want to call it breaking news because I hadn't heard about it that I'm so excited about as well and then of course I couldn't have had him here without asking for his super bull picks is a great show sit back you're going to enjoy it if you love it tell your friends about it.

And Manuel at show the man welcome to the happy hour. Yeah, it's a pleasure to join you on the happy hour. You know, I've heard great things I've seen great things.

I've listened to great things, but now I get to be a part of such great things. You're so kind. You're so kind. Well, we got to be a part of your great thing this summer and I'm telling you it will go down.

And we're picking highlights of 2020 uncomfortable conversations with the black man is top three at least. Well, I'd like to think that there probably wasn't a ton of competition. You know, if you were to tell me this is a highlight of maybe any other year.

I would have been like high monitored, but like to be a highlight of like a low light year. You know, it's a small accomplishment. I guess it's huge, but you know what I want to be honest.

We're recording this full disclosure in December, but today happy New Year's everybody happy 2021. We're starting a new year. But Emmanuel, I want to ask you this because I have been asking myself this because I have found myself so often going 2020 suck.
