My guest for The Happy Hour # 289 is Jo Saxton. Jo is a Londoner born to Nigerian immigrants (to which she credits her tenacious spirit), an author, speaker, podcast host, and leadership coach. She has spearheaded an initiative aimed to help women grow in leadership, and has written books on leadership, identity, and legacy. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband, Chris, and their two daughters. Today, Jo and I talk about showing up for the life God’s given you. Amen to that! As we are facing uncertain times, I especially loved hearing Jo tell the story of how her foster mother found her purpose during the war when everything about her current reality changed and was turned upside down. 0:29.7	We had some plans, but because all that is going on in the world, we've decided to stay home.
0:33.9	So that means we're going to catch up on family togetherness and movies and books.
0:38.7	I hope that wherever you are, I know that you might be feeling a little bit uncertain and anxious,
0:44.7	amidst the virus that's going around right now.
0:47.4	What I do want to say to you is no matter where you are,
0:50.2	listening, no matter what is going on in your world,
0:52.9	no matter what you are feeling,
0:54.5	nothing has changed today about God that wasn't true yesterday and that won't be true tomorrow.
0:59.9	That he is here, he is in charge, he is present, he is our caretaker, he is merciful, he is for us.
1:06.7	And right now, what a time that we get to be the church to show people how much God is for us,
1:12.0	even in the anxiety that the world might be bringing us here at the happy hour.
1:16.6	We are going to continue to bring you great content and my hope more than ever in this time of our lives right now.
1:22.4	Is that it can be a small little moment,
1:24.9	60 minutes or 30 minutes of your day of your life where you can just sit and maybe be encouraged.
