for our lives, helping us to move forward and accomplish things, to achieve things.

That sense of achievement and accomplishment is so important

for our well-being and that sense of forward movement. But sometimes when we set goals,

it can create this underlying feeling of lack, like we're not there yet, like we have more

to achieve and we're not ever quite good enough.

To counteract that feeling, I really like to encourage people to set intentions.

Intentions are not so finite.

They're more of an attitude where you're aligning your values and what's important to you with how you're living.

For example, you might set an

intention to be mindful, to really enjoy the sights and sounds and smells around you. You might set an

intention to spend time with your kids whenever they approach you. And it's not exactly a measurable

goal, but it's an intention, a way of

living that aligns your values and the way you live. And this can create a sense of deep satisfaction

because you're enjoying the moment, you're enjoying the journey and not just waiting to achieve a
