| 0:00.0 | Hey there, Jen here, and this is a happy bit. So for many years of my life, I tended to wake up |
| 0:06.7 | when my kids did, letting them be my alarm clock because I love my bed and I want more sleep, right? |
| 0:12.5 | I know you can relate. Well, lately in the past month or two, I've committed, re-committed |
| 0:17.9 | actually, to getting up earlier than my kids so that I can wake up on my own terms |
| 0:23.1 | and be in proactive mode rather than reactive mode. So often I'll get up at five. That's a great, |
| 0:29.8 | great time, my favorite time. Sometimes I'm up by four and when I have a deadline, such as for |
| 0:35.2 | this podcast, sometimes I'm up at three. What I do first |
| 0:39.2 | is I exercise for 10 minutes. I turn on Pandora on my phone and I play three songs and I |
| 0:45.9 | exercise until those three songs have finished. Then I know I've accomplished about 10 minutes of |
| 0:50.0 | exercise. I try to make it fairly intense with some push-ups, squats, jumping on my rebounder, |
| 0:55.6 | which is like a mini trampoline, or I do a little bit of yoga. And then when the 10 minutes is up, |
| 1:00.8 | I shift into some meditation, some prayer, maybe some journaling. And then I check my schedule |
| 1:06.8 | for the day and wrap my brain around everything I need to do. So if I can accomplish all this |
| 1:11.9 | before the kids wake up, I feel amazing. I feel so much more in control and ahead of the game |
| 1:17.9 | rather than always behind the ball trying to catch up, scrambling to get ahead and feeling overwhelmed. |
| 1:24.4 | So I want to challenge you to get up earlier than the other people in your household |
| 1:28.8 | and see what a difference it can make to wake up on your own terms. Set a goal and then jump over |
| 1:35.0 | into the Vibrant Happy Women Facebook group and share the time you plan to get up for the rest |
| 1:40.3 | of the week. Maybe it's 5.30, maybe it's 5. Whatever you choose, share that and we'll hold |
| 1:46.3 | you accountable and we'll celebrate your win with you. Tell us what you experience how it feels |
| 1:51.9 | throughout the day as you make this change. So set your goal, share it in the Facebook group, |
| 1:57.0 | and make it a great week. I will talk to you next time. Take care. |
