Hey there, Jen here, and this is a happy bit. Halloween is coming and that means the kids are getting

excited about their costumes. We have a morph suit guy, a unicorn girl, a butterfly girl,

who switched to an angel and a cat. The oldest two don't do costumes apparently or they will just find a mask.

Tonight is our church's trunk or treat and we're really excited. We have a giant bag of candy

ready to share. We'll open our trunk of our van and stick in a few decorations and then we sit

there and the kids trunk or treat from trunk to trunk.

So it's a lot of fun.

Today I'm going to be talking about contribution.

When we think about the wheel of happiness, there are six main areas that are important for us to have some balance in so that we can feel happy.

These are body, mind, spirit and emotion, relationships,

contribution, and managing our resources, which is time, money, and stuff. So I want to talk

today about contribution. But before I do, I'm going to give us a quick word from our sponsor,

then we'll jump right in. And you can learn why it's critical that you're making a

contribution. So why do we need to make a contribution? Why is it important? I mean, really we're all

very busy and rushing to and fro and frazzled and exhausted more often than not. And so how could we

even fit in time to make that contribution? Well, I have 10 reasons why it's important that each of us makes a contribution.

Perhaps that's through volunteering or service or having some type of a business where we

share our talents or our gifts.

Well, number one, there are things that each of us were born to do, lives that we were meant to touch using our special gifts.

I fully believe this.

And when we're not sharing those gifts, we'll feel a sense of dissatisfaction or like a little itchy feeling that we need something more in our lives.
