Summary

Today marks the NPS’s 109th birthday! In celebration (?) we pulled a few less than enthusiastic 1 star reviews of some of our favorite places. A few are straight up silly, some are maddening and others prove that just because National Parks are for everyone, not everyone are for National Parks. All reviews found on YelpFor a full list of our sources, visit http://npadpodcast.com/episodesFor the latest NPAD updates, group travel details, merch and more, follow us on npadpodcast.com and our socials at:Instagram: @‌nationalparkafterdarkTikTok: @‌nationalparkafterdarkSupport the show by becoming an Outsider and receive ad free listening, bonus content and more on Patreon or Apple Podcasts. 0:47.0

in kind of a weird way. It's going to be fun. And we've never done. Maybe the opposite of a

celebration. Yeah. It's like we're actually going to drag you.

0:55.5

We're actually going to poke fun.

Yeah. At the parks themselves because we just thought that that would be a fun way to celebrate. Yeah. And I've said it before. I'll say it again. I love light bullying. It's a love language. So that's what we're doing. And it's not coming directly from us.

1:10.6

We're just the messengers.

1:11.0

Okay.

1:28.5

So what we're doing today is I kind of got some inspiration from two places. I love the podcast, Beach Too Sandy, Water Too Wet. And if you are a, and that's why we drink listener like I am, M and Christine, they do a great job with that podcast.

1:34.1

But Christine has another podcast with her brother where they, every episode, they share one-star reviews of everything, like anything and everything.

1:38.2

It could be like snow removal services or like candy canes or...

1:43.6

And people are unhinged. Unhingeded and it's just so entertaining and fun um so they have if you're into this type of stuff they're the the one star connoisseurs over there um and then of course for national park lovers everyone is pretty much i at this point, familiar with Amber Shares' works,

2:04.5

which is subpar parks and her book series.

2:07.5

Her series is so funny and so, so original to put that together with her illustrations, too,

2:14.0

of the one-star reviews of national parks.

2:16.3

And it's just so funny, it's like, all it was was rocks.

2:19.5

I was talking about Acadia or Badlands or something.
