Dr. Christopher Kaczor (rhymes with razor) graduated from the Honors Program of Boston College and earned a Ph.D. four years later from the University of Notre Dame. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Kaczor is a former Federal Chancellor Fellow at the University of Cologne and William E. Simon Visiting Fellow in the James Madison Program at Princeton University and Honorary Professor in Bishop Barron's Word on Fire Institute. His seventeen books include The Gospel of Happiness, The Seven Big Myths about Marriage, A Defense of Dignity, The Seven Big Myths about the Catholic Church, The Ethics of Abortion, O Rare Ralph McInerny: Stories and Reflections on a Legendary Notre Dame Professor, Thomas Aquinas on the Cardinal Virtues; Life Issues-Medical Choices; Thomas Aquinas on Faith, Hope, and Love; The Edge of Life, and Proportionalism and the Natural Law Tradition. So this happened about 10 years ago to me. I interviewed and got a fantastic new job at the Catholic

University of America. I was hired as the director of the university honors program.

And the new job came with an enormous increase in salary.

I got about a 40% raise.

And I was able to leave my current university where I was pretty unhappy.

I felt like I was kind of on the outs, ideologically and theologically, having the wrong views, that is Catholic views. And so moving to

Catholic University of America was really a breath of fresh air. So I moved out there with

my wife and family, and I absolutely loved it. The university was filled with extremely bright, dedicated, faithful people. The parish I was

in was the best parish I'd ever been in. It had fantastic music, unbelievably good preaching,

and most of all, I loved the people that I met there. There were all kinds of people that

were just like me, people that were raising families and really trying to live out their faith.
