Today, I consider COVID-19.

You've probably heard more about this virus than you care to have heard about.

But I bring this up because it's always been sort of academic to me,

but now it has struck close to home. My brother-in-law,

fully vaccinated with Moderna, got the virus. It has hospitalized him for a long period of time.

In fact, his doctor said that he is fortunate to be alive. And just the other day, my wife and my daughter, one of my daughters, got the virus as well.

They seem to be doing quite well with it, but it's early in the process, so we'll see.

But a good reminder that this life has ups and downs, has tragedy, sorrow, sickness.

But ultimately, our hope is not placed in a temporary universe, but rather in a renewed universe

that will be liberated from its bondage to decay.

At the meantime, it's up to all of us to make a difference.

Well, there is yet time.
