Hi, Josh.

We just talked a couple weeks ago on the show about kind of creating an emotional distance

between yourself and your fandom after an upsetting defeat.

And you mentioned that the U.S. national soccer team was the one team where you had the

most challenging time doing that.

And failing to qualify for the World Cup as the U.S. did and losing to Trinidad on Tuesday is a type of sports defeat on-field sports scenario that I think you can legitimately be extremely upset about.

It has major ramifications. It is like a years-long recovery process.

And so I validate my own feelings and your feelings and everyone else's feelings out there who

are really sad and angry and pissed and every other emotion.

I'm pissed. I'm disappointed.

I'm kind of gutted.

And last night, watching that debacle in Trinidad was utterly, emotionally deflating.

And you saw it building.

I mean, it wasn't by the end a total shock to me. I think with about 10 minutes to go,

and I'm not trying to be, you know, to claim any great clairvoyance, but I turned to my wife

and I said, they're not going to make the World Cup. And that was before Panama scored to go to
