Hello, friends. Welcome to OnScript. This is Amy Brownh Hughes, a co-host for the podcast with

Matt Lynch, Matt Bates, Aaronheim, Drew Johnson, Chris Tilling, and Jules Martinez-Olivieri.

Today I have the pleasure of speaking with Han Luen Concert Comline, associate professor of church history and theology at

Western Theological Seminary in Michigan. She also serves as the co-editor of the International

Journal of Systematic Theology and is an ordained minister of word and sacrament in the

Reformed Church in America. I am excited to have Han Luen here because I get to geek out with her

about early Christian theology. Woohoo! But her interests are wide-ranging, as we will see. We'll

be discussing, for the most part, her first monograph. It's a doozy, an impressive work on

Augustine on the Will, a theological account published by Oxford University Press in 2020.

This book is an astounding achievement.

Thank you so much for doing all of this work to read Augustine this closely so I don't have to.

Also, hot off the presses from Baker Academic, the fourth edition of Turning Points,

decisive moments in the History of Christianity,

which Han Luan co-authored with Mark Knoll and David Comline. Today, we'll be talking about Augustin

and, you know, the broad swath of the history of Christianity. So just a small conversation.
