Hello, I'm Bex and welcome to The Week Junior show. Today I'm joined by two of the team from

the week junior, the magazine Making Sense of the World for 8 to 14 year olds.

We've got Associate Editor Laura and Writer Kay.

So, lots to cover in this week's episode.

We're going to be talking about a project to save red squirrels, a city made from gingerbread, a dancer starring in the snowman.

We're also going to be having a big debate about whether school dinners should ditch desserts. So speaking of school dinner desserts, I want to know what pudding did you enjoy the most at school.

I'll go first. It was basically anything covered in custard, to be honest.

Particularly a sponge with a thick layer of icing on top with some hundred and thousand sprinkles.

But yeah, again, as long as it was absolutely swimming

in custard, the yellower, the better, I was thrilled. Laura, how about you? Oh, that sounds delicious.

I need a second breakfast already. Mine was, well, I've said syrup sponge, which, admittedly,

I actually had packed lunches at school, which was really boring. So I had, my mum used to put

penguin bars in my packed lunch. But I think I have a very strong memory of having syrup

sponge. I think it might have been at Brownie Camp. But anyway, it stuck with me because it was so

delicious. So I said that. That is an underrated classic. I kind of want that now myself.

Kay, how about you? I used to love Arctic Roll, which is a cake with

ice cream inside and you slice it up. It's like... We've all gone for something kind of spongy today.
