On behalf of the fine city of Chicago, we apologize if you feel like you've been catching a lot of great.

Thank you for joining us this morning. Really appreciate it. I love you guys. I love you guys. I'm a Chicago fan, and I get it, but I'm a fan of the score. So it's an honor to be here, guys. Thank you very much.

God bless. That is Mayor Thomas McDermott from Hammond, Indiana.

0:23.4

Yes, we appreciate Mayor McDermott and Mayor McChese for all of their hard work and love of the score over these last three.

0:32.8

All these mayors are scoreheads, and they were all on.

0:36.8

Of course they speak. I know, I know. But it's like they all of a sudden were involved in conversations that have been about them. Yeah. Like if there's one thing that you take away from like the mayor Johnson interview is like that guy's a P1 scorehead. He shouldn't have come on. I'll go ahead and say it. He should not have said the thing about leaving the Bears Packers game early. He should not have admitted the April thing either. What is he, Chris Rangi? I know, but Mayor McDermott and Mayor McCheese, they were both delightful today. Mayor McDermott was like, he was realistic, he was honest, he was self-deprecating, like he knows where things actually stand, and he advocated for his town like he should.

Here's Mayor McDermott with Mullian Hall this morning.

So you're a pretty direct guy. I mean, following you on social media and see that you see things, and obviously you're very candid, and we appreciate that.

1:26.3

So tell me this.

1:34.6

The bears have had and known since February that the door is wide open to Indiana and Hammond, that they would be welcome with open arms.

1:37.4

They know the terms of the agreement and the legislation.

1:40.5

They know everything about what going to Hammond would mean. Why would you have to wait until the end of the month for an answer? Wouldn't they know now? Isn't it either or? And if it isn't, are they playing you and using Hammond as leverage? Well, if they are playing, and I should be over by the end of this month the way I see a thing. You know, I mean, this isn't just a Kevin Warren decision. This isn't just a Georgia-Castkey decision. They do have a board of directors. And there's, you know, and I think that's what's happening right now, but that's not for me to answer. You know, it's just not a one-person decision. So the good news for Hammond is I think we're going to know our fate at the end of this

2:18.8

month. And I think that's plenty of time personally. But, you know, if it's early July, I could live with that. But I think in a certain point, because it's not fair, you know, the things being said about Hammond right now. You know, I think there's a lot of positives about what we're going through right now. And obviously, if we land the Bears, that's game changer for our city.

2:37.5

But there's been a lot of things said about Hammond that's not fair and that's not pleasant,

2:42.1

being the mayor, seeing your city direct through the mud, you know.

2:44.7

So at a certain point, it's time for Hammond to either be chosen or get off this story

2:49.9

and let the Bears deal with Brandon Johnson and

2:52.5

Governor Pritcher by themselves.

2:54.8

Do you believe they need a deadline in order to make the decision that you want them to make?

3:01.6

I'm not setting any deadlines.

3:03.1

I'm not in charge of this situation.

3:04.6

I want to make that clear.
