us in the studio from the Hammer and Nigel show. Hey now. Did you got the red hats on

here today? Yeah, we just said we were I've not worn these hats in probably four years

and they were in the back and I said let's just put the hats on for fun. Yeah. So now I

can't take it off. Yeah, they look great. Did you actually almost fly into Tampa to

be a part of this hurricane? I did. I did last night. This is true store. I swear to God,

I'm not making this up. So wait, wait, you're telling me like we didn't have business there.

Your kid didn't have any of it. You like you said I want to just fly and do go into the hurricane.

Yes. Anybody that knows me and I've talked about this on the air a lot on my bucket list of

things I've not accomplished as a broadcaster is covering a hurricane. I am a weather nerd. I am

fascinated with this kind of stuff. And I've always wanted to be like Jim Cantori on the beach

hanging onto a palm tree. You know, the rain, the winds smacking me in the face like I'm into that.

So the Tampa airport we were told was going to close at 12.01 a.m. And I got home and

Crystal was like, I know you've always wanted to cover one. So if you're going to go go now and

seriously, I was looking up flights to Tampa to get there before the cutoff happened.

I was going to stay at the resort that we always have at Madera Beach, which is right there,

not too far from St. Pete. And I was really close, but then I got the guilt trip from the coupon

lady. Now understand we have a kid in college now. It's your life insurance up to date.

It wasn't even about that. She doesn't care if I live or die, but she just wanted to make sure that

if you're going to spend this money, one, it could be going to your kid in college. And number

two, I will have leverage over you for the rest of your life in this relationship. Yeah, you made

a good move by not going. I mean, like she to her credit, she was going to let me go.
