0:38.6	about something raw, something that is still happening. We're living through history right now and no one knows how this situation will unfold.
0:49.0	But we know this. I know this. I went to sleep on October 6th, 2023 in one world. I woke up on October 7th in another.
1:01.1	And it's not a nice world. It feels like a dystopia, like a living nightmare. It was
1:08.5	Shabbat and not just any old Shabbat which would be awful enough. It was also Shminia Zimchat Torah, the end of the Jewish holiday season which we call
1:19.7	Zaman Simhatenu, the time of our joy. But there was no joy in my synagogue that morning.
1:28.3	Fifty years and one day after the surprise attack of the Yom Kippur War, Hamas launched the bloodiest assault in Israeli history.
