Hey there from CNN. I'm Krista Bow with The Five Things You Need to Know for Monday, February 10th.

Hamas has announced that the planned hostage release for this Saturday will be postponed until further notice, accusing Israel of not adhering to the terms of the ceasefire.

A spokesperson for Hamas's military wings stated on X that the delay will continue until Israel fulfills its commitments,

including allowing displaced people to return to northern Gaza and ensuring the agreed-upon

entry of relief supplies.

He claimed Israel has repeatedly violated the terms, while Hamas has upheld its obligations.

The Hamas-run Gaza government media office also accused Israel of blocking shelter supplies

promised in the ceasefire deal.

In response to Hamas' announcement, Israel's defense minister said he has instructed the country's

military to, quote, prepare at the highest level of alert for any possible scenario in Gaza,

describing the postponement as a, quote, complete violation of the

ceasefire agreement in the deal to release the hostages.

There are still 79 people taken on October 7, 2023 left in Gaza.

Only 20 of those are scheduled to come out during this current phase of the ceasefire, eight of whom are said to be dead.
