I'm on the phone with Ashvin, and today we are discussing the long-awaited Halloween kills from 2021, directed by David Gordon Green, written by David Gordon Green, Danny McBride, and Scott Teams, starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andy Matichek, James Jude Courtney, and Anthony Michael Hall.

And in this sequel to 2018's Halloween, Halloween Night continues as the Strode family reels from the events that unfolded in the last film,

and the town of Haddonfield decides to take matters into their own hands in an effort to permanently rid themselves of Michael's murderous legacy.

If you're new to the show, we're just going to do some spoiler-free background discussion for the first 15 or 20 minutes, but then we'll take a little fake break and play some transition music, and then that is when spoiler territory is upon us, so you'll duck out then if you haven't seen the movie yet.

Ashvin, you were anticipating this, but maybe a little less than me, right?

Yeah, I was pretty excited.

I think I've been pretty vocal about this being one of my favorite franchises.

So I was excited.

And I think I remembered liking the 2018 one.

Do you remember what our scores were for that one?

I remember my score.

I gave it a three and a half and I since have

rewatched it. I rewatched it shortly before Halloween kills, so just like a week or two ago.

Oh, nice. And it upped my score to a four. Wow. No kidding. Yeah, yeah. There was a lot to appreciate

in that. Okay. Okay, that's awesome.
