behind today's door is a story from Paul.

He says,

Dear Danny, until 1989, my family lived in York.

There were only two bedrooms, so my brothers and I shared a room with bunk beds.

My bed was the lowest.

As my brothers were older, I'd be sent to bed earlier,

and on this particular night, something woke me up.

I looked at the foot of my bed and saw a figure.

The face was very old and wrinkly. It appeared solid and lifelike and was wearing a brightly coloured strippy jumper. The figure appeared to be laughing but was absolute silence.

Scared, I disappeared under my covers for the rest of the night and didn't even take notice of whether my brothers were in bed yet.

I never forgot that night though, and sometime in my 20s I was talking to my brother for the first time about what I saw

He then told me that he had woken up and looked across to see a strange figure leaning over my bed whilst I slept.
