0:04.7	Today's story is from Allison starts when she moves into an old Victorian house in
0:11.2	Inverness in Scotland.
0:13.0	Not long after we moved in, she says.
0:16.0	My husband and I would wake in the night to a giant fud coming from the kitchen.
0:20.0	It would repeat several times with a few minutes between each fud. We checked the pipes
0:24.8	but there's nothing so we just kind of accepted it was an old house and made peace with the noise.
0:30.0	About two years later a plumber was called to fix our boiler.
0:33.5	When he finished, he gave us an old black and white photograph he'd found behind the boiler.
0:37.5	It was of a young woman wearing Victorian clothing.
0:40.8	Our neighbor, Mrs Moffitt, had lived in her house since the 1950s, so I suggested to my husband,
0:45.6	we ask her if she knew who it was. She thought it was a lady called Mrs Ross.
0:50.9	Mr. and Mrs Ross had lived in our house and Mrs. Moffitt said that back then our kitchen had been the dining room and Mr Ross who was a very big man and not very mobile was sleeping in this room.

1:04.4	first moved in as Mr Ross used to fall out of bed all the time and Mrs Ross wasn't
1:09.5	strong enough to get him back in. We suddenly understood where this noise had been coming from. I hope
