Today's story comes from Sam who says, Dear Danny,

I was on a break from university and working as a health care assistant for a year.

It was a neurological ward.

Some of the patients have been in road traffic accidents, some have severe head injuries, strokes or brain tumors.

I was on a night shift and I was sitting with a few other members of staff at the nurses station.

In front of us was a six-bed ward with extremely ill

patients. I was chatting with one of the porters and then out of the corner of my

eye I saw a patient walk slowly out of the six bed area towards the toilet.

The porter stopped talking.

We both looked at each other and fought the same thing.

No one from that ward could get out of bed, let alone walk to the toilet unaided.

We went to check the toilets nothing. No one was there. Then we went back to the nurse's station.

The nurse who had been doing her checks that night explained to us that a gentleman had sadly just passed away in the six bed area.

We then explained to her what we'd seen and we all went cold.

I'd like to think that that figure was the gentleman leaving all his pain behind

And we just got a glimpse of him doing this

What a thought. Ghost stories can be profoundly moving as well as chilling. Could this really be possible?
