My husband works for a road marking company. One day he came home and told me that his

colleague Tom had a really bizarre experience. Tom and another man were working the night shift.

At around 3 a.m. a guy appeared on the pavement below their wagon. He was mid-30s

scruffly dressed with long straggly hair, a couple of teeth missing and bloodshot eyes. He just

stood there watching them. After a while, Tom went over and said,

what do you want, mate?

The man smiled and said,

nothing, I'm just waiting for my bus home

because I haven't got my bike.

At that moment, something felt even more off

because Tom knew there were no buses around that time of night so he and his colleague got in the cab of the wagon locked the doors and drove further down the road away from the man.

At the end of their shift they've made their way a few miles down the road and were packing up when Tom noticed a piece of A4 paper and a plastic wallet on a lamppost opposite.

There staring back at Tom was a photograph of the weird guy who'd been watching them.

A much better looking healthier and sparkling eyes with a wide smile revealing perfect teeth all present and correct and long hair neatly combed and fresh looking.

The writing beneath the photo told of the guy's name and age and that he was knocked off

his bike and killed on the way home from work just a few weeks previously.
